Services for Veterans and CAF Members

About 3 years ago, we noticed more Canadian Armed Forces Veterans using our services, so WSK decided to focus on creating services specifically for Veterans and current CAF members transitioning into Veteran status. In July of 2023, we launched these specialized services on a trial basis, and we're happy to say they've been a big success, really making a positive impact on Veterans and serving members' well-being.

Here's what we offer:

Suiting: In addition to providing work attire to the community, we've helped around 10 individuals during the pilot phase, thanks to referrals from organizations like VAC and Homes for Heroes.

Veterans in our Community: This program gives Veterans a chance to volunteer in a safe, respectful environment tailored to their needs and skills. It's been great to see how it's helped individuals feel rejuvenated and purposeful, especially those transitioning from the CAF.

Workshops: We've also developed workshops for our community members, covering practical skills like interview techniques. We're currently fine-tuning workshops specifically for Veterans, addressing challenges like transitioning to civilian life and finding a new identity. These workshops have been tested and are almost ready for rollout.
